Cybernetic serendipity: The cave paintings of the digital age?

Cybernetic Serendipity at the ICA in the summer of 1968 was the first computer art exhibition.
The stated aim of the exhibition was no less than to explore 'the relationships between technology and creativity'.

This presentation reports on the findings of detailed research into the background of what was a seminal exhibition which rightly lives in the race memory but which was very different from what is often assumed nearly forty years later.
