Staff Research Profiles

My research practice centres around the field of exhibition design which is manifest in diverse projects for the Pier Arts Centre Orkney, the National Museum of Modern Art in Kyoto, the Royal Museum of Scotland, the Royal Botanic Garden in Edinburgh and the Royal Highland Fusiliers Headquarters in Glasgow. More recently I helped design and curate 'Open Here', an exhibition of Graphic Design and Illustration work organised as part of the anniversary celebrations of 500 Years of Printing in Scotland (1508-2008). Alongside displays of staff and student work, artefacts and memorabilia, there were opportunities to see artwork produced 'hot off the press' in the College's newly refurbished print workshop. Imprint was a Graphic Design/Illustration staff project featured within the larger 'Open Here' exhibition. Using techniques and equipment available within the College, staff responded to an open brief to produce a limited edition print celebrating 500 years of printing in Scotland.
