Discipline: art history, history of architecture and landscape.
Ongoing: publication of a monograph (Bucknell UP, USA) on the architecture of the 6th Earl of Mar (1675-1732) and the Scottish Historical Landscape.
Background: Buildings of Scotland Research Unit; Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Scotland; visual sources for Edinburgh University's history; captions for European and non-European gardens, landscapes and Scottish buildings for eca's contribution to SCRAN.
Recent publications with Lynda Wilson (eca), a 3-part study of the impact of cultural context learning on studio teaching in the 6 Scottish schools of architecture.
Activities: Founder of the eca Plaster Cast Committee, and researcher for the collection.
