The Graduate Research School deals with enquiries about research-led postgraduate study at eca. Formal applications for postgraduate study must be submitted to the Academic Registry.
My main work has been in the area of tapestry weaving, paper and textile construction, and my research focuses upon this and fashion theory, contemporary Japanese art and design and 20th-century design history.
My work has been included in 11 solo and over 80 group exhibitions in 12 countries. My international touring exhibition, "Unmarked Lives," focused on the ordinary people who make up my ancestors - Scottish, Japanese and Ukrainian- and Lithuanian-born Jewish immigrants to Canada. This utilised imagery which looks abstract, but has symbolic meaning for me.
I also work with text and multi-media, including a set of five "Holiday Brochures". These are tours for Christians, Real Men, Patriots, Capitalists and the Tough on Crime which discuss political issues.
"Virtual Reunion" is an interactive DVD about my secondary school class, which involves video interviews.
