Output Details
Dysart Artworks was an 18 month collaboration between myself as lead artist, Donald Urquhart, Alec Finlay, Tom Clark and Ken Cockburn resulting in a co-ordinated series of permanent site specific public artworks and public spaces in the coastal town of Dysart, Fife.
The project involved extensive consultation with local people and the local regeneration agency during the formation of the concept and the delivery of the works. Local school children's involvement in the project resulted in the book 'Ravenscraig' a collection of mesostic poems written during a workshop directed by Ken Cockburn. I had 5 items of work in the public artworks.
Since completion the project has been awarded a Scottish Design Award, Saltire Society Art and Architecture Award and a Roses Design Award (Silver). The booklet 'Ravenscraig' was shortlisted for the Howard Smith award. Published in the Scottish Architecture Annual 2007 and in Artwork (issue 142) March/April 2007.
