Design

The Hidden Gardens has won a number of awards since its completion including a Dynamic Places Award (2003), Scottish Design Award and Chairman's Award for Architecture (2004), Civic Trust Award (2004), SURF Award for Best Practice in Regeneration (2004). The project was included in 'Landforms', an exhibition promoting contemporary Scottish Architecture curated by The Lighthouse under the umbrella of the Scottish Executive's Policy on Architecture, which opened at the Metroom, Barcelona in 2003 before visiting the Venice Biennale and Aorta, Utrecht in 2004. The other artists involved were nva organisation (Angus Farqhuar), Alec Finlay, Stephen Skrynka, Julie Brook and Gerry Loose.
