Staff Research Profiles

My research interests as a writer and curator involve the way in which modern, particularly post-war Scotiish art, reinterprets mythological themes to engage with contemporary socio-political concerns.

In the past I have organised both historical and contemporary art exhibtions at the Talbot Rice Gallery and curated international exhibitions with the British Council and the Hong Kong Arts Festival. I have worked as a curator and writer with artists such as Sam Francis, Alan Davie, Eduardo Paolozzi, Steven Campbell, Ken Currie, Douglas Gordon and Boyle Family.

Future plans include co-authoring an anthology of writings on Scottish Art for the Edinburgh University Press.
