Applications
Applicants for research programmes should submit a postgraduate application form along with a research proposal identifying the objectives and scope of the programme and stages necessary for successful completion. The research proposal should be 1,000 - 2,000 words in length and describe the aims and objectives, the context of the research, the proposed research methods and anticipated outcomes. Please see Edinburgh College of Art's guidelines for research degree proposals. A bibliography of relevant references should be appended.
Applicants will normally be expected to have a first or second-class degree in a relevant discipline. However, applications from those with honours degrees in other, unrelated disciplines or from applicants with a relevant combination of qualifications and work experience will be considered. Applicants should also submit a portfolio of personal work.
Applicants from overseas are welcome, and should be able to demonstrate equivalent qualifications to those laid down for UK applicants.
