Statement
I have found inspiration in Russian Constructivism and Suprematism, and looked at how the artists from these groups used and challenged material and perception of form and space. I find it very intriguing how they simplified and yet expanded on the experience of expression, both within their art and architecture, and it is elements from this I have tried to pursue with my work.
I have been looking at the properties of the form of blown glass, and exploring what possibilities it has when pushed into unusual directions, in correlation with and in contrast to another material. The geometrical concrete blocks is based on golden proportion measurements, and I have let the glass challenge and intervene with the strictness of these, by letting the random and unexpected collide with the organized and arranged
