Location
Edinburgh College of Art has now merged with the University of Edinburgh's School of Arts, Culture and Environment to create a new and expanded Edinburgh College of Art within the University comprising Art, Design, Architecture and Landscape Architecture, Music and History of Art. This College is located across three campuses in the very heart of the historic Old Town of Edinburgh. Further information about the location of the various disciplines is available here.
Art and Design, along with Landscape Architecture and some elements of Architecture, will continue to be located at the Lauriston Place campus, for which contact details can be found here. Architecture is also located at Minto House in Chambers Street, and Music is based at Alison House: further details of both campuses can be found here.
Transport
Edinburgh, as the capital city of Scotland, has excellent transport links. Many major airlines fly in to Edinburgh Airport, which is around an hour's flight time from London. Both the rail station at Waverley and the Bus Station in St Andrews Square are in the very heart of the city, which make travelling by train and coach great options.
Within Edinburgh, travel is very easy. It is a safe and compact city, well served by an excellent bus network, a very good taxi service, and with plenty of opportunities for walking and cycling.
From Edinburgh, it's also easy to explore Scotland and get out and about in the hills and glens. Traveline offers the most up todate information about travelling within Scotland and the UK.
A full exploration of all travel options to the University's campuses can be found here.
